As fresh as glistening virgin snow,
blanketing a pristine winter’s morn.
As clean as the crystalline waters of a swollen creek,
tumbling, rushing down a mountainside...
As bright as the golden sun,
embracing the earth with warmth...
As pure as the delighted giggles of baby,
splashing mommy at bath time...
As new as the peeping of a chick,
birthing from the egg...
As vast as a lonely mansion…
longing for a family to fill it ....
As hopeful as the eyes of a bride and groom,
exchanging vows, rings, hearts, lives…
So too is the dawn of a New Year…
the threshold of a new chapter…
fresh,
clean,
bright,
pure,
new,
vast …
A time of hope…
to begin again…
to forget…
A time to…

hope resonates throughout this beautifully penned poem. as dark waters close out 2004, let us pray that God is merciful in 2005...
