A toast for class reunions...
Once upon a time
our faces,
our bodies,
and minds were young.
We hadn’t a clue
what life really was.
Marriage, divorce,
babies and debts…
The pain of
a cruel fleeting youth.
But like rings of a tree
each year, each storm,
each wrinkle and roll,
the hard times and good
have brought strength to our roots…
They’ve helped us stand tall…
To find pride in who
we’ve become.
To us!
