" All is not what it seems "

..............................................

I am the Magician of the Night Sky

Maker of dreams,

And creator off illusions

What you see,

Is not always what you get

Magical and inscrutable

Are my mysterious ways

You look for the obvious

And I materialize,

What is not transparent

My abode is beyond your imagination

I did not appear

To keep the status quo

My remit is to place the divisions

That split heaven from hell

I conjure and hypnotise in seamless form

Until you no longer know,

If its real or a dream

I exist and shape shift the atoms

The pack is shuffled

But the aces are hidden

Beyond timeless eternity

And the diamond stars

I leave an obscure trail

For you to follow

And if you are truly worthy

And found to be pure

Together we will co exist

As Mars and Venus

Of all we survey

The subconscious mind stores information going back to the womb -- maybe prior, if such thing exists. The conscious mind interprets and imagination recreates. What separates good from evil knowledge is conscience. My take on it :-) Thanks for a most mysterious piece of poetry.

I conjure and hypnotise in seamless form
Until you no longer know,
If its real or a dream

And I fear there must be alot of conjuring these days, it's often hard to tell what's real any more. Quite a poem, Peter.

Very intriguing poem Peter! Puts me in mind of a phantom with mysterious powers, seductive and scary at the same time;-)
Well done! Be blessed in the New Year!
