Peter, no truer words were ever written. This should be sent to women's magazines all over the world, because we are a hormonal gender, and we allow our feelings, more often than not, to get in the way of reason. Forewarned is forearmed. And as women we need to be forarmed, before we allow our feelings to get us into something that we may regret later.

While there are women predators too, we are more susceptible than men, because men don't allow their feelings to get in the way of caution, unless they actually fall in love. But falling in love on the internet, may work for some, it does not work for most. We need our suit of armor too, and the only way to get it is by reading things like this, but not just here in the Den tho, but in every magazine that you can think of. Thnx for sharing this with us, Peter.

Good sage advice here. Since the beginning the Internet, it has been fraught wiith scoundrals and scoundralnesses. I, for one, can never understand the mentality of someone who can't deal with the flesh and blood of their acquantances because for whatever reason, still think there in a chance in hell that a complete stranger (the stranger the better, maybe) on the Internet is there for them to love and cherish and hold forever. Yep, it HAS happened from time to time, but the pitfalls are many with this kind of realtionship. Don't know why I haven't been tracking you. I have no answer for that. Thank you for being in my corner most, if not all of the time, Peter.

Hi Peter..

Thanks for this reminder in prose. It's much easier to digest for some of us. Some do flirt to be cute and others flirt for their own ego purposes . Others are light hearted and don't realize they're flirting. You give this spin to flirting we all probably need as a reminder tht we are human and we do have purposes and responsibilities toward others.

It's sad really that people take pleasure

You are so right: the Internet CAN be a dangerous foe if people don't take the necessary steps to protect themselves; too many "no-goodniks" out there, too many bad sites. (That's why I just stick to G-rated sites and Authorsden.com; don't need none of that terrorist or porn crap for ME, no siree, bob!) Wise advice from you; you may have saved a life today. You are so right. People can hide behind a created persona and nom de plumbe (spelling)? I have always tried to be truthful, but that can cause problems, too. Wise advice in your poetry thin early (EARLY) morning.
