Poem Artwork

." My Way is the Art of Fighting....Without Fighting "...Zen

............................................................................

I have always been a wondrous child at innocent heart

opening up myself, to all that is receptive in the world

giving full vent to my inspired imagination, to fly on ahead

in search of all my dreams and aspirations, on the wide horizon up ahead

inching forward in irrepressible advance, on all the citadels of life

laying siege to all my fears, and vanquishing the doubts that assailed me

I am a self made man, of that there can be no doubt

having moulded myself, in the blistering clay of experience

I never took no for an answer, life is too short to be baulked

or to cast your pearls before the swines of indifference

I have never taken prisoners in the insatiable quest for the truth

read between my lines, and you will see where I am at

I call a spade a spade, and don't ever try to put me down

for life is too short and precious, to let the pygmies push you around

I'll play the game, and wear you down in remorseless fashion

with shots of precision and finesse that kick up the chalk

and when it's set point, I'll always take you straight out

And Taylor "saves the best for last"...finally getting a chance to post!
Peter, never lose the "wondrous child" in your heart or the invincibility in spirit that goes along with it that makes you uniquely you . You've approached life head on and volleyed every shred it has to offer. Smashing write! Life is more than game, set, match, but I'll take you on!

Love,
Taylor

love this line Peter

for life is too short and precious, to let the pygmies push you around

I assume you mean mental pigmies.....lol.....not the little fellas....
because that would be politically incorrect...which in the US is a big deal....don't know how it is in the UK.....but I got a kick out of the line......lol......

Wow Peter, that was a powerful write! Loved the last two lines, a (self) empowering poem, brain over muscle is always the best.

"I am a self made man" indeed Sir Peter.

And one that defies categorization or equal.

Yours in the harmonious synchronization of all that is laced with the platinum threads of creativity and goodness.
