Twisted scope of light burns bright bringing the shadows to play on her face as tears run silvered down her cheeks I stare helplessly at this stranger, this image as failure and longing swim listelssly in her eyes I see ugliness I see rage I see someone that no one will ever need tears pour like rain pool like blood soft glow of candles reflected in the glass bring shadows to play across my face and I wonder just when that person in the mirror became me

I think that this is a question that only people who have had a very bad experience asks themselves. And I do agree with Chanti in her prayer.

I don't know you but I feel for you. I don't know what is causing your sadness but you've expressed yourself here so articulately. Your writing is superb and you are obviously very talented. I pray that whatever is causing you pain lifts from you and that you are able face your image in the mirror and smile at her. Sending you a warm hug from a distance.

Sweet Danielle, we all especially we poets, artists and creative people tend to go through periods of blue from time to time. Perhaps that is why God gave us the gift of word to better let out the things that truly could eat away our hearts and souls if we allow it. When you capture your feelings as expressively as you just did in this write you will be all right cause you will not be able to ignore the beauty of a red rose you see around the corner, the love of a child's arms outstretched to you or the feelings of care your friends on the den have for you.
