Some of the sights and sounds I found out walking on a few of our beaches this afternoon...

Poem Artwork

Afternoon on a Nova Scotia Spring Beach

The multi colored beach stones, the surf and the sand

Frame the vibrant blues of an Atlantic skyline

When the sun kisses us with warmth

No need here to question in life why oh why

Hand and hand and bare feet strolling

Waves will wash all your cares away

Hear the pounding surf play its harmony

While seabirds sing their ocean song all day

Horses and riders gallop chasing white foam

Children throwing sticks for dogs to fetch

Smiling seniors on park bench talking memories

Teens toss a football in a passive game of catch

One of Canada’s Atlantic playground scenes

A small benefit of living in Nova Scotia style

Where nature paints the background canvas

And best of all populate it with a heartfelt smile.

I've heard Nova Scotia is still the greatest beach to walk; you'll be hard pressed to find that kinda of blue space on today's Florida beaches. Wonderful poem; I hear your sea poems are your best; hope I find time to discover more of them. I've only written 2 or so I'm proud of and hope to post here soon. Thanks for the trip north!

She does wash our cares away, doesn't she? Going to rent a beachhouse on the Oregon Coast this spring with my family. Been land-locked too long. Beautiful, peaceful write. Perfect for this Sunday. So soothing, Felix. Thank you...Lin

It all sounds quite delightful, Felix. Thank you for taking me along with you on your afternoon stroll. I could smell the salt and hear the gulls screeching. Beautiful verses.
Take care,
Sherry

I love the beach and all its sounds that are music to my ears and the smell of the brine intoxicates me.

Wow ! felix!! This exposes my passion for the power of the sea. Your poem is so vivid that I can smell the ocean, feel the salt on my cheeks and be absorbed for a few minutes in the joy I have for the ocean. Thank you so much. I'm three hundred miles from the Atlantic and there are times when my gills dry out.
Love it!!!
