Lonely Desires of Life


 


The satin shifts and the pillow drifts


With last night’s head perfume


Shadows creep the hound dog weeps


Outside the silence smothered room


Downstairs the coffee drips radio news


Sex smile lights up her pretty face


She doesn’t know that he will go


Loneliness will be left in his place


In the shower he erases proof


That he and her joined in union one


Downstairs she hums a happy tune


Thinking perhaps this time she has won


Tonight she’ll cry and wonder why


She let him get to her that way


When will it end why does she bend


Pride seems to vanish with the breeze


Tomorrow night she’ll be out alright


Again she’ll pass someone her keys.

It seems that she is looking for love in all the wrong places, Felix. Why is it that women so very often confuse sex with love. Masterful write with excellent rhyme and meter.

Sad that so many know lust but few realize passion. You write from both sides Fee. You add the sadness that comes from hopping bed to boudior. Your vision into the soul of so many gives wisdom for others to learn of infortunate love.
