as a poet travels through life, he experiences various states of being ... they are fragments of ourselves that make us what we are today ... we can dwell within them or transcend their influences ... i think you've surpassed this frame of mind, especially since you can't remember writing it ...intriguing poem, btw ...

Old scars and memories always send the dark angles dancing and they are relentless in reminding you of the pain and sores. Captured so well Fee!!!!
This is wonderful, Felix, I am glad that you didn't throw it away. Perspective is everything and this is one of those poems that can be read from the inside or from without.

Yep, like walls closing in. The imagery is razor sharp, Pops: Shit on dirty snow a farm girl like me can relate to. I like the way that you arrange this so that it can seem that it is OUR fault that those dark angels are dancing all around, when mostly it is the coming together of circumstance: if our spirits are as sensitive as you suggest here, than it is not as if we have consciously lived so as to invite them... But there are times in our lives when we can feel consciously distanced from The Great and The Good, and you capture that perfectly here... like the 1 from 99 that has gotten lost in the bramble thicket. You see why you should never throw that book away. Maybe today you write more polished poems, but this is a deep one. Perhaps it could be revised. I often revise my poems whether old or new. So go it and give us more of the old ones. Victor

This is excellent, Fee. A little different from what I'm used to in your work -- very deep and gripping in it's sinister mood. I love the repetition at the end! Again, an excellent work.
