I can sure relate to this! When I'm painting or writing, my peripheral vision shuts down and I enter into a zone that's something like a frenzy at times. My office/studio looks like it's been hit by a tornado and I joke that when I'm like that, I can almost see why Van Gogh cut his ear off.........
