Aye, tis the white flag crossed with blue

With It’s centre a lion brave and free

Proudly waving high on every masthead

With the wind blowing inland from the sea

While the distinct Nova Scotia tartan

Swirls round the bag pipers knees

While the Bluenose sails the waters

Billowed sails catch an Atlantic’s breeze

A Nova Scotia Duck Troller strolls the beach

With his master on a driftwood lover’s dream

Where the legends of Mi’kmaq’s Glooscap echo

and tears are still shed for the lost Evangeline

The Forts of the Citadel, Louisbourg, and Annnapolis

Still greet all who seek witness to our history

While our people in the towns and villages

Make Visitors welcome to the way of life you see

So come home to Nova Scotia

For I know you will love it like I do

This little piece of paradise once called New Scotland
