Count Always your blessings...

Evening shadows wrap around him Offer a dark cloak of disguise The stigmata of his longing heart Lurk behind his blue unblinking eyes He walks the path often yearning For the life that could never be Then he stops to count his blessings Beneath the sorrowed willow tree His mind says to be grateful For all the love he has to hold but heart and mind don’t always sync Especially when the night turns cold Pulls his collar up against the wind Sings a sad George Jones country song Remembers her sweet smile and her promise Little things that keep love strong…
