*~ Stormy Seas ~* *(Haiku 5-7-5)* *a luminous gray* *hummed with anticipation* *gathering the wind* ~~ *an enormous tree* *all of its leaves thrown backwards* *onset of a storm* ~~ *storm over the sea* *the sky in savage colors* *like painful bruises* ~~ *furious winds scream* *swallowed by walls of water* *tumultuous seas* ~~ *undulating waves* *surging forward claw the beach* *reclaiming its own* ~~ *fingers of sunshine* *pried at the clouds every edge* *escaping the storm* ~~ *� 2005* *Carole Mathys*
