"Consider that the arc of the universe is
(to 120 decimals)0-FLAT! A flat universe implies a universe of such great dimension as to be...infinate. Consider also that the universe is homogenous in every direction we observe. The ramificatons include the distinct possibility that the universe contains many thousands of earths, nearly identical to this one--right down to a Kato typing this message on his computer on April 21, 2005 at 3:13 pm EST. Even if earth alone harbors life as we conceive it, there are still then billions of planets with life." ~Kato
An "earth"
not unlike our own
in a sky of a thousand stars
A star like our sun,
heat spinning off gas
as it dances in space
fifty light-years away
Coming closer
then stepping back
in a dizzy salsa,
so close to it's planet lover
it completes a turn
in three and half days
With each go-round
it passes within our sight
blinking fire
blocking a fraction
of it's lover's light
shifting
from left to right
as flounces of colored silk
tug at it's curves
toward earth

Your premise, quote and poem surely underlines the distinct fact that there are other populated and intelligent life forms in our solar system and universe..
