Seminole Wind
A man in his early
thirties with a
Native American
accent,
Horse Dancer,
taught by
his grandfather,
the Spirit of
Chief Abiaka.
Horse Dancer
carves his
ponies from
Seminole Wind,
a gray Andaleusian.
"I wish to buy two
acres of your land
to carve my ponies."
Carlota calls the
Gypsies together.
"We can use the
money."
They agree at
dinner time, eyeing
their last fifty-pound
sack of maroon and
white pinto beans.
"Will you consider
a 24-horse carousel
in trade for your two
acres?"
"Yes, 24 and Seminole
Wind."
The beauty of
a vanishing
breed---Gypsies,
cigar-store Indians,
carousels, and
gray Andaleusians.
Seminole Wind.

Your words ride the wind...stunning! Another of my favorite songs, "Seminole Wind." Yes. Beautiful, your verse and the song. Another keeper...thank you. (Tracking you. It's a pleasure!)

That world has vanished off the face of the earth, to be replaced by
a ruthless and selfish breed, that is completely cut off from Nature
and God, and hell bent on the destruction of all we hold dear in our hearts .

Seminole wind is a great name for a horse, we own a Tennessee walking horse, name of Sinders...black with a white sock...a great horse and he likes Rufuz though other dogs he seems scared of...my other half will enjoy this poem as well...Ed & Rufuz
