This was a great write to be sure. I do not believe in anything other than man and woman together, but child does not pick its heritage or parents. So write on dear poet!!
First there is the hypocrisy of judgement and assumption... does anyone EVER consider that lack of faith is, perhaps, the "greatest" sin of all, for example (she says, judgingly?! :)) What IS the age-old hang-up with "sex sin", for goodness sake? Even worser is the judgement falling on the innocents, those whose "fault" it could no way be. Love is the greatest gift of all, and far too many who would seek to judge the values of others have not the gift of love and grace to start with. A liberating and overcoming write, Sage. Better the love of two mothers than the hellfire of a "god-fearin" wife-beatin husband. Caleb will be blessed with integrity and great insight with understanding. Provoking narrative. TY Kate xx
