A Biblical conversation is like having a conversation with God.

A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. (Proverbs 15:1* NIV ) It is written in the Bible that we should not get angry and mad. This is not easy thing to do when someone is cursing at you. But past anger and hate can only make us sorry and very sad. He who guards his mouth and his tongue keeps himself from calamity, and oh how true that is indeed! (Proverbs 21:23 ) Keeping quiet may keep us from an impending disaster today. This is not easy thing to do when someone is cursing at you. The Bible says the Lord will love and guide us every step of the way. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. ( *Ephesians 4:29 )* Remaining silent when there is nothing good to say is best. This is not easy thing to do when someone is cursing at you. This is exactly what I needed to hear this am. I had just received a chat messaged from my daughter after a 3 and half year silence. I wanted to "get it off my chest" the things she did and said that hurt but I erased what I'd written and just said kind things, exhorting her to teach the kids to love the Lord. Yes, a kind word opened up the flood gates and she wants to continue to talk. I see by your message today, not ten minutes after we spoke that what I said was according to the Lord's plan. Thank you.
