After the Turkey is Over

After the Turkey is over and the guest have gone away

There still remains enough food in the fridge to last for many days

The folks celebrated, ate, enjoyed a feast and departed with turkey-to-go

Some expressed joy to be down south because it’s warmer without the ice and snow

So let us all praise The Lord for many blessings and bring on the Christmas cheer

 Let’s be thankful we live in a country where we can say,

“Merry Christmas, Jesus loves you!” loud and clear!

Amen!
