After another school tragedy we watched the united church services on TV. It was comforting as well as moving. However, the only time it’s fashionable to welcome Jesus, God and Holy Father on the news is when we have a national tragedy. We must wonder, “Have we truly lost our way?”

Let’s get united again. Let’s gather as one. Let's all call out the name of Jesus. For when someone dies or is married mentioning God, the Father pleases us. At a national ceremony it’s such as moving experience, we all gather united and pray. But after the ceremony is over, it is business as usual as we all go our separate ways. So what have we learned from the preachers, the wise ones? Did we learn that our Father in Heaven loves us and sent His son? Were we not moved at this time of national prayer? Is this a time to just be present and just be aware? So let us reflect on what kind of people we are as a nation today. Do we turn God on and off like a TV and really expect Him to stay? Where was God when the children screamed and teachers began to shout? The forces of evil were present for in this land of plenty, they were never thrown out! No, the only forces thrown out were ones that stood for good and peace every day. Then we stare at the bad fruit it brings and wonder, “Have we truly lost our way?” References Revelation 3:20 (NIV) ²⁰Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. A very good wake-up question, I say a strike one. Your boldness in writing this is admirable and necessary, John. The realization that we are down should move us to look up to God and ask for forgiveness. For those of us who know the Truth, that a nation needs God, we take on "identification repentance" much like what Nehemiah did. We ask forgiveness on behalf of all our fellowmen for our denial of God. Although this incident is not God's fault (but ours) nor is it His will, we need to look inside ourselves and seek that intimate connection with God. Scoffers laugh at us and skeptics call us the "nuts", but "even in Darkness light dawns on the upright." We have been given the authority by Christ to bind and let loose, to trample on scorpions and snakes of demonic forces, because all these are utterly viciously evil: Pride, Unbelief, godlessness, Greed and Violence. Stand united, yes -in prayer. Take back what the enemy (evil) has stolen, fight on your knees for the battle is not of flesh and blood but spiritual, moral, personal. There is power in prayer and God promised He will answer. "Not by might nor by power but by My Spirit, says the LORD." The prayer of a righteous man avails much.

I think we have lost our way, ever since we allowed God and prayer to be removed. We are suffering a heavy price because of this. No more; enough is enough! It is high time we put God BACK into our nation, our homes, our schools, our work places, and our churches!
