Japan: A Magnificent Culture!

Have you ever been to Japan? My wife served as a nurse and I served as a bilateral planner in Japan while we were in the Air Force. It was a cultural experience that was exciting and fun!

We lived in Japan for three years, but time flew by so fast! Looking back at those years, we really did have a blast! We learned about a culture so rich, with a deep long past. The folks in Japan were gracious and kind most of the time. When lost, people showed us places that were hard to find The Japanese welcomed us into their homes and hearts. We formed a strong bond, I hope that will never depart. We traveled all over Tokyo and sang along happily with many others. In a short time, we learned to love our Japanese sisters and brothers We climbed to the top of Mt. Fuji and went skiing down many winding slopes We traveled on foot, by car, and train and saw more than we ever hoped! Many years have now passed but Japanese culture is still part of our lives today. We love the food, the language, the culture, and kindness displayed in many ways. Have never been to Japan. I enjoy the Scandinavian countries. My hands down favorite remains Stavanger Norway and the complex coastal fiords. I think you meant to spell 'Magnificent' in the title. Peace... r

I love the robes. I want to visit Japan and China, Russian, France, Italy, Greece.... I could go on. Learning about new cultures serves to enrich our minds and souls.
