During the recent march across the nation many students voiced concerns about gun violence that kills hundreds each year. We all want to save lives but how can we make a difference now? WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE BY SAVING LIVES NOW! There are silent pills that are killing more much more of our precious youth than gun violence kills in one year. We CAN do something about this NOW, just by making others more aware!

ONE PILL CAN KILL Mentoring To-Go is ideal to do one-on-one. Everyone can mentor, teachers, parents, daughters and sons. We don’t always have the time; but NOT to mentor can be a crime! We can mentor a relative, a neighbor, a friend as well; all it takes is a few minutes of time! Write a personal letter to them, do it today let them know you love and care for them. Do it right away. Include in the letter an important bit of information about how just, “ONE PILL CAN KILL” do it today! I worked at a drug and alcohol treatment center for some time. I worked front desk but it was a beautiful thing to see "that twinkle" in eyes that first came in emotionless. Education is fundamental.

A great message. Makes me glad I don't have children. While the Internet age has opened a whole world of information and interconnection for our youth, they are still curious and can make mistakes that will affect the rest of their lives.

On the other hand, I find that this connection inhibits mentoring when the young person may say "hello" and then wander off with their cell phone or smart bad locked up in their own little world of games or connections with friends that may or may not be sharing the right stuff with them. It's sad to see that younger people no longer seemed interested in what us old fogies do or say.

Drugs, guns, or suicide by any means, it's just to easy to die. I try to mentor my kids and g-kids alike, and I hope they know I'm always there for them.

You mentioned the fact that
other things are killing more youths than guns
I can place a loaded gun on a table and let it sit there
For a thousand years and it will never hurt anyone
Until it falls into the hand of an undesirable character.
Than a problem is created.......
may all children that fell to the violence
Of guns in the wrong hands Rest In Peace
