I could not think what to write about today. So I decided to write a poem about poems! Enjoy!

Some folks write a poem a day.

Others write about one every week.

Some write one and then disappear!

Like a poetic game of hide and seek!

 

Some poems truly make us smile with laughter

Others inspire us to think big and tall

Some poems end with a happy ever after

Then some poems have no ending at all

 

But this poem is a poem about poems

So, what else can I possibly say?

If you enjoy it, keep on writing more poetry

So be encouraged and have a GREAT day!

Your writing is so enjoyable to read. I, for one, due to family issues and arrangements, find it difficult to get "me time"........my muse lies in wait. Catchy poem!!

Very interesting write concerning poetry. It gives us seasoned poetical veterans something new to behold, and for those un-poetical, maybe a light shimmering. I usually write one poem a day. At any rate, thank you for this one, everyone can benefit from it.

Truly an every poet's poem that fits all. The shining light at the end of all of this poetic activity is when one of our poem's lines gets picked up and become part of our rich language of quotes. But God forbid, not a cliché. ;-)

What a delightful poem about poems!!! Yes, no matter whether we write one a day, or one a week, or several a day, we should never give up writing. We should keep on expressing ourselves.
