Humble green-blue carpet
is ruled with silver and gold,
to say the sun is shining.
On this corrupt moral sea,
of glass or dreams, lie flowers
in baskets of desires....
God knows what they are
between cerulean forms and shapes,
rendered regularly round
dreamy roses and tridentate
leaves of gleaming gold:
green, green, and green....
Five roses and ten stems,
billions in refuge,
thorns ripping flesh
as the basket stays afloat,
standing on the horns of blue.
Trailing up, to the ceiling,
to the windows,
to the smoky corridors
where the day
flows and blows in
the ornate curtains to
the sound of rain....
