God's all around us

Talking about God When I talk about God My heart swells in my chest Tears come to my eyes I'm not at my best. There's a power overcomes me That I cannot explain My breath seems to escape me My soul seems to pain. I know I can not express This feeling that I feel My words seem such a mess At times I'm forced to kneel How can I explain to anyone This gift I have received That has made me truly someone Ever since I have believed. Living life alone Was never meant to be Always by my side God is next to me. How can I explain This feeling that I get Life brings so much pain I know we've never met. This gift of God is free The sacrifice for you was made There are no good works to see No deep waters for you to wade. His kingdom is within you waiting to be claimed God is walking by you Though you may be drained. Oh how can I explain This feeling that I feel My words seem such a mess For you I'm forced to Kneel. God Loves You Luke �

The words are simple and clear, the meaning however is deep and profound. I like the easy rhythms, the fine rhymes, the simple ideas that linger and make an impact. There is humility too. Who can not feel humble in the face of God. Many thanks for this worthwhile poem. John

No need to explain, Luke. We all need to do, work, invent, instruct, compose, sing, dance, show, tell, explore, sail, fly, opine, learn, and become. The rest will take care of itself.
