None of us do as much as we should
There never seems to be enough time
None of us do as much as we could
Seems life never stops on a dime
Do you ever help all you could ?
Today is the day lest we forget
To remember all those we should
Take a moment to think lest we forget
Over the years lives stopped on a dime
Lives put on hold while they went over sea's
They gave us our freedom with no thought at the time
their lives would be lost as they dropped to their knees
Today is the day we honor those lost
One day of the year to cherish our freedom
To never forget the ultimate cost
Hero's forever now in God's kingdom
Now take a moment to pray
And give thanks for those lost
As with freedom we play
Always remember the cost.

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
My never met uncle lies in France, nearly 100 years now
never stop writing

It should mean that more of us can now focus on the survivors of recent wars and put more time and money into helping them overcome their demons and in war altogether. Stop making it heroic.
