Even the very old can't fathom the intricate labyrinth that a child's reasoning needs to navigate until uttering a philosophical truth which they haven't a clue of what it means.
Being a great-grand something doesn't helps either...
Little girls are proper,
little boys are mad
chasing each other
screaming bang! bang!
I hear incessantly coming from
great-grandmother's mouth,
who thinks everybody's rude,
cousins, uncles, even my Dad!
When she was born she said,
no Tivo in the house they had,
or kitchen garbage-disposal
and not even they had a car!!!
They had not cinemas she said,
but theater and ballet, what's that?
no comic books or funny papers,
she don't even know who's Batman!
But she remembers Pat Garret
who carried a Colt Pacifier gun,
and got the famous Billy the Kid
in a wild-west gunslinger's fight.
Also she like to tell, again, about
seeing Wilbur and Orville Wright
taking off from Big Kill Devil's Hill
on a devilish contraptions's flight.
Great-grandmother is Methuselah old,
she thinks she knowing all, and that
little girls are proper and little boys are rude,
can't she go flying with the Wrights?!!!
Ah, sweet memories, I could get along just fine without all the modern hoopalah! I think, but wouldn't that mean wee'd be writing via snail mail, or even pony Express?

They just require lots of love and attention
Especially the ones that misbehaving giving them

enjoyed this much my friend...I so enjoy the personalities of all children..I have found that many of the one's whom we considering to be misbehaving...are the one's who are desperate for some type of attention...they will get it one way or the other, as long as someone pays attention! My grandchildren are one of the highlights of my life, two granddaughters and two complete different personalities...but two wonderful joyful additions. Great write my friend, always a pleasure to read your work!

There are a lot of good children both boy and girl in this world. I chose to watch them when I'm out and pay no mind to the one's who aren't. When you are out at the store, stop to tell the polite children that they are being so, and thank the parents for a good job. Reward them for their effort so that they believe it is the right thing to do. I fear that the children notice that it's the bad children who catch the eye of the public and their behavior goes unnoticed. Lady J
