Jersey Devil Ed Matlack is the "little" brother of a literary trio that gives a suffering Ma many a headache with their shenanigans.
But one thing must be clear, there's love, concern, care and thoughts for the well being of each other in a world that's going not only spiritually cold but that are reaching the absolute freezing point where not even ice can survive.
We praise him because the one that should be doing it don't, and, like all the soldiers I love, he refuses to fade away.

He has collected friends that care for him

but they did wrong to him all along the line.

There’s a dog, we believe his best friend
and a car/trailer/camper doing for a house
what you and me dream to be “the” freedom,
married hostages as we are, in our penthouses.

We all love Space Cadet Jersey Devil ED,
even the Canadians love for him they found,
but he is my li’l brother and don’t you forget,
he gives smoke signals to the birds all around.

Going to the Atlantic shores talks to the sea,
thinking of a seagoing boat make him smile,
when times come with sorrows, couldn’t ask
for a better staunch brother to be at your side.
