Why on category Family? because he is one of us, a brother, a cousin, a friend, a peer and many other things, but foremost, one of the most loved in our family.

Poem Artwork

Like Humphrey Boggart’s “Rick” didn’t said in Casablanca:
“…play again it, Santa…”

Ulysses used a boat to conquer myths,
Hannibal, elephants to take on the world,
cousin Fee just needed a guitar for start
humming, sitting on Nova Scotia’s shore,
melancholic tales of beached old seamen
that can’t remember but didn’t forget love.

Sometimes he will become the granddad
that on little grandchildren smiles draws
with stories of dragons and princesses
or a little mouse and a cat named Tom,
he will sing to them very known melodies
until the lullabies the babies eyes close.

By the end of the year he will become Santa
hearing wishes of little ones and grown ups,
bringing all the people a little more together
like glue sent for us by a benign smiling God,
a Canadian cousin no less, and a loved one,
just not south of their border, but all around.

The picture was taken by Rose, a sweet thing
with a husband prone of falling from the roof,
we smile as we see our Fee entertaining fingers
borrowing from his guitar wings for his soul
as he tells all the arriving sea waves from afar
about love in his heart as he sits on that rock.

Gentle man, gentle friend, life’s a corkscrew
that will try to twist the tail of every old dog
not having a guitar to fend off the demons
that solitude drags behind like a sticky smog
covering everything that’s dear for all of us,
because like Fee, a mean guitar we have not.

This is a most affectionate and loving tribute to a family, Georg. I can't say more except that I agree with you and your beautiful verses about the Guitar Whisperer. I can only wish I could hear dear Fee play his guitar and don his Santa reds.

Love (Smile, pls... :)

lovely tone and imagery here, Georg! Yes, life sure is a corkscrew and Fee is one helluva vintage unplugged and uncorked! It's so wonderful to have tributes that extend brother to brother... I'm a total sucker for all that burly machismo, but your sensitivity and warmth of feeling beneath all the otherwise cub-like ear-boxing truly warms the cockles of me heart. Band of Brothers ye surely be... Blues Brothers... Allman Brothers and you sing it well. Nice one, Georg! Thank you, xx

Dear Georg, What a beautifull praise for a good friend. Felix was humble in his review. I must admit that a guitar is a good friend to have. Love to Rose, who took the beautiful picture, to Felix who played the guitar and of course, to the great poet Georg who conceived, created, and wrote this great poem.

Wow...I am indeed surprized and I must admit I read this earlier today but words for a change failed me. All I can say is thank you my friend you are way to kind and generous but I do love it. Not sure if I am that great of a guitar singer or guitar player but there is a plan in the works (amateur)to record a CD of a few of my songs and you will be the first to receive a copy. (Don't blame me if you claw your ears out the first time you hear it. LOL). Anyway thank you again my friend...

I've always had this weird fantasy about living in Nova Scotia, sitting by the sea, spinning sailor's garn and enjoying the cold, quiet, salty life. I really enjoyed this.

For every cork-screw tailed dog, there is waggle of hope coming from behind him. You are the tail that wags Felix the dog here, Georg, for us all to amuse over and to celebrate. Rose's Fee, honored in the best possible way, by being enshrined forever within your worldly wisdom and sayings. Immortality never seemed so good!

Also, the picture is so "cool." It should be entered in a contest.

There are times Georg, when if it weren't for my guitar I may have gone crazier. When the pressures of living build up, there is always a place I can go to. and that is music.

When I am playing I think of nothing else except changing chords and getting it right....No thoughts of anything else.
Unfortunately One can not play guitar 16 hours a day, and my life is better than it has been in a very long time, but, during the hour or so I practice each day I'm in a zone.

Yes Fee is one of those people that is loved by all and will always be in our hearts. I agree with Vickie, we need to hear his golden voice and his playing of his guitar.
