Each day I try my best to find
The gold among the strands of weeds
Each day I am determined to see
The best in you and me
Yet there are days that so defeat me
And turn all negatives face side up
And all my blissful thoughts and plans
Fell on the floor with a loud Ker-BLAM
But dang it all I refuse to let,
Such rotten luck to really get
Its claws on my eternal smile
So here is what I say today
Apparently these were bad plans
And I was lucky that they went Ker-Blam
And tomorrow the sun will send its glow
and tomorrow I will get to have
some happy plans that fly upright
and give a warmth to all around
and this is tough, I know, since I
am in Minnesota the land of ice
and though its – 14 here
I making my vegetable garden plans
And ordering tomato seeds!
