We're having a gorgeous summer in central Oregon this year. in the 70's and low 80's. I was sittin in my lounger out back, at midnight or so the other night, and you came to my mind wearing a smile, and, the stars spoke to me.

Poem Artwork

I sat out late last night, contemplating, your smile, while stars so bright, danced across the skies; they seemed to say: we know you care, we're part of you, the universe does rejoice! My eyes beheld, them, no, real surprise, but I'd never heard their voice. Calling me telling me, to get let go my thoughts, to go to Him, and visit for a while; all because I'd thought of you, and your lovely, smile. We talked of rainbows, and the rain, how he had made them both; how man takes it all for granted. Then, we took apart that word; He reminded me, that, granted means to get a gift, not something that your owed. The gift He gave the one that counts, way more than the rest.  Was Jesus Christ, His only son, who came, lived and died. A death, that befit no man, all of heaven cried, much less the savior of us all, by taking all our sin, upon Himself, just as His Father called, Him to, From Genesis thru Malachi, it's what He said He'd do. But Instead of dying on that cross, He conquered death, once and for all, and all from one, was what it took, to save me and you. He rose, He's Risen, was the shout, on that Easter morn, The same angels, but different souls, as, on the day, He was born. The veil was rent, the world knew, what they had done; then, a mere Three days later He confirmed, That He was God's Son. He rose to sit by His Father's side, and then gave, to us another gift; our comforter, our guide, our hearts to indwell  The Holy Spirit was His way, of Himself, to us, make known, and all we need know, tells, to rightfully, atone. A new heart, He promised us, and the Spirit starts that mighty work, as soon as He comes in, our hearts and minds and souls become a part of HIM. Now as I sit under His skies and contemplate your smile, that same spirit comes along, and speaks thru the stars, He loves us so much, He cares more than we'll ever know. He carries the scars.  The Father, Son and Holy Ghost, are ONE, and three at once, but each is His own. WOW, just to know that without a doubt, makes me join you in your smile, and now I'll go to bed and dream, maybe even for a while, walk with Him and you, the five of us, eternity is our timetable, forever, and all the while
