The poem says, all there is, to say! Rocky

Poem Artwork

Pruning, pruning, in the fall, in an agricultural town,
they cut back the vines, bushes and trees,
And as I watched, I winced, as they cut and lobbed,
and, I, mostly, wore a frown.
Too, much, I thought, can't they see how lovely the branches are?
Can't they leave a little, more of them?
Why they almost chop them down.!
Then when the prunin was all done, and the structure, you could see,
It was thicker than the year before, and larger than it was,
and the crop had a, better base to grow on,
pruned just right, with care and, with, love.
Now He is pruning me you see, and I still often wear that frown,
'Til the useless stuff is burned and gone, and the blessings,
come pouring down.
He took the world, and from it, me, released, took a marriage,
and, I gave her all, my things;
then, HE, started doling out for me what He, would have me have, and now,
my joyful heart, sings.
It's not done, yet, but I can feel the sturdiness, there, and the power,
starts to, showin.
Can see without the ties to anything, anyone, or anyplace;
I'm free to be where He wants, me, and my blessings and my things,
keep growin, and growin.
I thought a wife He'd have me have, and of course had reasons,
of my own,
but that's not in the cards right now, as He's,
so aptly shown.
I care too much, for things of Him, and demand too much,
yasee?
Cause when I consider a woman as a mate,  I treat her as I would, me.
And that's not fair, nor will it fly, as they can't go, where I've been called,
And, instead of bein, patient, I'm demanding, and askin for things,
they cannot, give,
and, cannot, be.
So I apologize to all of you, who, thought I might be He, and ask you,
to forgive me, for any slights or, feelings of being pushed to do,
what ya weren't ready, to even, see.
I meant no malice, and if ya think back to what the issue, was;
well it always had to do with His Word, and His commands.
I never once asked anyone for, what, I wasn't willing to do,
myself, and do it, in joy,
and in love.
And I suffer, these darn attacks from: PTSD, and that adds to the pile,
of doin and sayin stuff, that didn't, and doesn't, cause a smile.
So, please, forgive me, and realize, it had nothing to do with you, but everything
to do with me.
I shouldn't have been askin for somethin, That wasn't, yet, meant, to be.
But, it's all part of the pruning, He knows what I need, and He's doin,
what He will, so that I might be, at His disposal, pruned for more fruit,
and, of my own wants and needs,
loosed, and set, FREE!.
He'll show the time, and bring the one, that separates the two;
the me, that does and acts like He wants me to act, and His way, things do,
and the other guy who frets and says things that hurt, til he finds his way thru.
Then, comes to kneel at your feet, and does all he can, to make it up to you.

Til, then, I pray, my heart is healed, and that the symptoms will subside,
but either way, I know one day, I'll have a bride, of His, to be my bride, too,
and for eternity we'll, together, do, whatever it is, that He gives,
to us, and, for us, to do.

I feel like what is left after the pruning and before the new growth, bare and raw, looking forward to the spring.
This is a wonderful offering.

Precious, precious Rock, I understand the man, the soul, the divine part of you..Your way too hard on YOU...Your gifts of spirit are extrodinary..That's like my dilema..I am extrodinary gifted and I have the same dance but I think the answer is like you said to keep searching spiritualy and then ALL things will be placed together..I truly believe this..If I just keep growing in God's spirit all things will emerge..This happens to very gifted children of God.And I do understand your perfections, Rock..I am that way too.I am VERY much a perfectionist but I believe all things in all areas of our life need BALANCE and to live by His word...Luke 7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their infirmities and plagues, and of evil spirits; and unto many that were blind he gave sight. Exodus 15:26
He said, "If you listen carefully to the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the LORD, who heals you."

Exodus 23:25
Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you, 26) and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.

Deuteronomy 7:15
The LORD will keep you free from every disease. He will not inflict on you the horrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all who hate you.

Deuteronomy 30:19-20
This day I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20) and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the LORD is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

1 Kings 8:56
"Praise be to the LORD, who has given rest to his people Israel just as he promised. Not one word has failed of all the good promises he gave through his servant Moses.

Psalm 91:9-10, 14-16
If you make the Most High your dwelling-- even the LORD, who is my refuge-- 10) then no harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent. 14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name 15) He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16) With long life will I satisfy him and show him my salvation." Be blessed and keep smiling precious man of God!! I LOVE YA!!!

Rocky:

A good dose of fertilizer in pruning does the crop good. I commend you on your faith and loyalty to God that you wish that upon others. Wonderful work!
