An Angel
I keep lookin for the woman, God has for me
I keep prayin, one day, he'll send her,
and how happy I'd be.
Then I turned around, and what did I see?
Why, He'd already sent an Angel, but, I knew it not;
And neither did, she.
So we're finally getting it, and our eyes are open, too
There were just some stuff we had to work, thru.
But He knows best, on that we both agree,
and this time maybe, if we keep our eyes on Him,
and don't go runnin off, on some emotional whim,
Well we just might be a couple, might make it at last,
we just gotta keep knowin that we both have a past,
That is filled with disappointment, and what didn't work out,
and to always stay focused, and, to, NEVER, EVER, doubt.
The, Truth, is the answer, no keepin stuff in,
but to give it to the Lord, and the other, as well;
And our deepest thoughts, always, with, each other, share and tell.
Cause the rest will, always, fall right into place,
if we don't rely on the self, and live in His Grace.
So, my greatful, heart sings, and I gotta this SHOUT!!
If ya but trust HIM, your own fears deny,
and trust the other, to never to ya lie,
then the Joy of His love, He will help ya, bring about.
