                      Footing the Bill

                 A humorous collaboration

   By ROCK-Salt! Proctor&RHOnda S. Galizia

Just because, I forgot my shoes

Does not mean, my brain is dead:

After all, I don't think, using my feet,

Nor walk, upon my head!

Yes honey, I know you like to air your toes

And being barefoot is not a sin

But this place is formal; they require a shirt and shoes

... before they'll let you in!

Well darling, you wear the shirt in the family..

And we both are sporting great pants

I just don't see, why it's incumbent on me

To wear shoes... when we're going to dance!

I tried to wear my sexy sandals, dear

So my toes could still peek through

But the strap and the flap, were off the map..

There was nothing I could do!

Since our closet is packed, with all your shoes

And there were not any, found appropos,

Looking for a new pair, would be futile

So it's barefoot, to the bistro, you'll go!

But when they stop us, to ask about your shoes

Here's my plan, for what you should say

"Haven't you ever seen glass slippers, before?

Why! they are the rave of the day!"

Exactly my darling, you big macho guy

I'm sure that's the thing we should do
I'll stand on my tip-toes and snuggle real close,

And then, we will get right-on through!

Then, you and your Tootsie, can go out and boogie

And when all the dancin' is through...

I'll fill my glass slipper, like a champagne sipper,
And I will raise up my TOEst .....just to you
!

You guys are a crack-up!

Those toesy sandals wouldn't hold much champagne though - it would all flow out through the toe hole. And then the cats and mice would all be schnookered! (-:

This is the best I've laughed in a bloody week! A real goodun.

Light and Wisdom ...
