PROCRASTINATION

Standing on the rock of truth with lifted hands I pray
that what I say I mean to do lest procrastination has it's way

A saint in all, a man of God, with Holy words to save a soulif he does not follow through on every verbal promise he makes
His standing with his fellow man the devil quickly takes

For at a point down the line procrastination surely turns into a lie
and a lying tongue and righteousness can not together abide 

So take the time to think it through before any commitment you make
and set aside the time required to fulfil your pledge and promises you'll never break

There's many subtle traps the evil one sets to block our walk in Grace
and if we don't check our words against our real intent we won't even be in the race.

For when a man who walks upright is found to be in a lie, the devil attains his plight
the result of which might very well be that one of the little ones we're to save
is left to his own devices and the wisdom of this world and might very well therein die

Sometimes with all that we're called to do these seemingly little things go unchecked but mark my words they're not little at all as eternal life itself hangs in the balanceand by our neglect the unsaved we're called to enlighten will come upon troubled waters and find themselves shipwrecked

So let us pray that we might see the hideous traps he lays
and be ever mindful to do our part that keeps us in His truth and mercyand injects His mighty power into our fervent prayers.
