Last night I had a dream; I was standing in front of a wondrous gate.
Through the gate there lay a path and above it a sign that read two-thousand and eight.
I stood there watching the gate and waiting for it to open so I may walk through.
There beside me stood my wife, my children, David, Beth and Sue.
As we stood there the clock began to strike twelve and the gate opened wide.
We took our first step down the path that lead to the other side.
There was a sign posted by the side of the walk upon which we had come.
It said, “You are now entering still another new year and I bid you welcome.
Throw away the old calendars and pay them no more heed
For two-thousand and seven is gone so for it you have no more need.
It has become a memory which joins others of Christmas past.
Three-hundred and sixty-five days is one year and past that it cannot last.
To all my dear friends as I walk along the path of a year which started anew.
May two-thousand eight bring all good things and Gods blessings to you.
