We celebrated the feast as we sat around the table

We thanked God to be there.  We were glad we were able.

We enjoyed turkey and trimmings and for desert, pumpkin pie.

Then we all set back and breathed a luxurious sigh

The kids played playfully and we adults played the same.

We also talked and sat back and watched a football game.

It was a wonderful day of thanksgiving and the whether wasn’t bad.

The only one was the turkey who had reason to be sad.

Let us be thankful for Gods blessings not just this one day a year.

Let us thank him for watching closely we whom he holds dear.
