Could be Tulip Tiptoeing. What started out with nonsense may provoke some interesting thoughts in the reader.

Stick Man by Ronald W. Hull

Traipsing Trapezoid

Into the void,
the inevitably buoyed,
traipse irritably annoyed,
trapped in a tyrannical trapezoid.

Going about their victuals,
as usual, with habits and rituals,
seeking the greater of pleasure.
Not the weight of the measure.

Ills come along,
strike down the strong.
They knew all along,
tight rope they were on.

Guarding their treasures,
with their insidious pleasures,
leaving the fullness of time,
to clean up worthless mime.

But the trapezoid traps,
like everything craps,
eventually, the shit,
hits the fan.

And the traipsing is over,
time to smell the sweet clover,
get down to the business at hand.

For the world turns slowly,
cares not for the lowly,
trapped in trapezoid time.

It's time to stop traipsing,
pillaging and raping,
it's time to spend that last dime.

For the inevitable comes,
and the tune that it hums,
it is not the one you hear,
in traipsing to this rhyme.

GREAT WORK RON, RHYMING AND DRAWING. INTERESTING AND CUTE. IT'S GOOD TO KNOW THAT THE TRAPEZOID, NOR THE STICK MAN HAS THE LAST WORD. THANKS FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...JOYCE * HIS INSPIRATIONS

"For the world turns slowly,
cares not for the lowly"
Very true, and despite of how lowly might've trapped in hardship;
no one bothers to take care.
Thanks for sharing, Ron!

Perhaps it is our fate to be given the knowledge that the triangle bears the heaviest of loads while we trapazoidal often stagger under our own weight.

Good poem. I've been traipsing myself so I could really identify.

And you think I am kind of nuts when write I do,
Herein I understand that more so nuts are you,
But to be absolutely and completely true,
You have helped me to laugh & stop feeling of late quite blue...-e-

Your poem is a clever and creative metaphor on so many parallels--personal introspection and a global view.

Ironically your photo has a trapezoid appearance especially in the upper torso area! I thought your poem had great rhythm and image to body themes! Keep up the great reflections!

t'would be a great title for a tune... all you need is a 'B' side.

I can see many parallels here, and I'm just as bewildered now as ever.

Love the image of the tight rope. Some spiffy rhymes as well. I agree with Jane. All it needs is music even if it has a kind of music all its own. John

I like how you took on the word "traipsing,'" and applied it to what is going on right before our eyes and no one seems to see or to care.

Yes, North America is indeed traipsing and "...trapped in trapezoid time." Like two parallel lines inexorably moving toward one another, squeezing any and all in its path, your poem begs the question of how and why have we insisted on this determination. We can only hope the "inevitable holds off a bit longer...say a couple more centuries at least. But, that is perhaps wishful thinking.
