There are some things we just can't overcome so it's best that we just let them go free so they can stop vexing us.

Vexing

While I've been flexing,

an image so vexing,

creeps up the back of my mind.

Faint itch I can't scratch,

a lock I can't unlatch,

to treasure I cannot find.

Ghost mosquito that buzzes,

while the worn pillow fuzzes,

draws blood from my behind.

Virus so dangerously perplexing,

as mysterious as government taxing,

unequally treats us unkind.

If I live til I die,

I will never know why,

life puts me in such a bind.

So, when life throws you bad,

the worst you've ever had,

remember to still be kind.

MY DEAR FRIEND...I LOVE YOUR LAST LINE. IT SHOWS WHO YOU ARE RONALD; FEELING THE VEXING OF BEING HUMAN BUT STILL...REMEMBERING TO BE KIND. AND YOU ARE SO RIGHT BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME ANSWERS...THINGS...THAT WE WILL 'NEVER' UNDERSTAND ON THIS SIDE. SO WE SWALLOW THAT PILL AND REACH OUT FOR THAT EXTENDED HAND OF RENEWING AND STRENGTH...AS WE PRESS-ON! I DOUBT WE WILL EVER MEET ON THIS SIDE, AND I KNOW YOU DON'T THINK SO, BUT ONE DAY ON THE OTHER SIDE, ROUND 'HIS' THRONE...I'VE GOT A FEELING WE WILL MEET THERE. GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND, THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

I hope that you are okay now and if not, I am keeping you in my thoughts. As someone who suffers from chronic illness, this poem resonates in so many ways. I love the spareness and tautness of it; your lines say so much in so few words. I especially love "Ghost mosquito that buzzes, while the worn pillow fuzzes" - just brilliant! - Take care, Karen

Ron,
Thoughtful and great reminder.
Yes there are many things we do not know why.
I believe that our energetic state of being survives our body.
Kindness has a high vibration and feels good. It benefits everyone involved.

Guten Tag ! Wie Gehts ! So you're back... so soon throwing your punches (and AD platitudes) from your corner and stinging (not yet I guess) like a bumble-bee. I thought you were "lazing" around on your 3-ton yacht - on the Riviera, of course - sucking cocktails through platinum straws... Welcome back, Ron ! Great to see you're in hot-dog form ! Herzliche Wilkommen ! Schüss...

This poem is a good reminder to us all:

We don't know what tomorrow will bring to us, we must all learn to be kind to others for we may see them today but may lose them tomorrow, or vice versa. I wish all my authorsden's friends good health and stay safe.

Your last line said it perfectly There's just so much anger out there right now. Some of it is justified, but the anger that is coming from the right wing conservatives is unproductive, because their anger towards the left is all they have. No solutions, no compromise. Just plain hatred. And as much as I try to understand it, I'm still at a loss.

If only more were inclined to read and listen to your words. Far too many will choose to be bitter. Very well worded thoughts here, Ron. Enjoyed it.
