Poem Artwork

Father, Son, Grandson

The father embraced the grandson,

Yet he was the one in need of comfort.

His arms wrapped strong, but tender,

‘Round his son, the grandson of his dad,

Suddenly gone from the two of them.

His head cradled on the shoulder of the grandson,

His eyes closed, his body and soul,

Soaking up the comfort of one so familiar,

As they came together as father and son,

To bid farewell to their grandfather and father
