As usual, TRASK, very nicely done. I liked this line in particular- "Why Not Show It In a Cartoon, Even More Vauge__ ". I can almost see our politicians running around Looney-Tunes style trying to keep up with their own agendas and the agendas they are supposed to be serving! Let the illegal aliens find a job serving in the US ARMY protecting this country instead of frying burgers.

This made me think of a few mails sent to me after Sep 11. People said "you must write something about this tragedy" But all I couldf think of was President Bush saying to the rest of the world "support us or you are with our enemies" I loathe terrorism and mindless violence but it happerns everywhere, not just in America. Did any Presidfent between 1969 and 1997 condemn the IRA when they were killing in small numbers but frequently on the British mainland? No they did not because of a fear of losing the votes of Irish American families. British politicians are no better of course, democracy is a myth.

Trask, As you well know I'd follow any soldier America holds, into battle. Patriotic I am, blind I am not. There isn't a state anymore weighed down with the illegal alien problem than Texas. We like the rest of the country has many many Americans out of jobs because our state and federal athourities allows it to happen. Thank you for this write,,I just wish some of those wonderfully exposed Politicians would read this,,,Lisa

Politician's need a reminder who they are suppose to serve, "us" not themselves.

Exploiting cheap manual labor is always easier than paying real living wages. The free trade is about exploitation and has nothing to do with taking care of ordinary American citizens. It's all about greed.

Trask, you really have a hardon for Mexicans. Although now that I realize you live in LA I can see why. Look it doens't matter who is in power as long as we have someone to complain about. You keep begging for the devil and....well you never know who you might meet one day.

Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely, TRASK. With the millions of types of people, with the zillions of ways to grow up, with the unfathomable variables in billions of people's lives, there are always the clever who can gain poser, and use it selfishly...mesmerizing power, how would I handle it, I wonder? I constantly feel glad of how I grew up, pretty safe in a wonderful small town...there could have been a much different life for me, for all of us, dying in third-world countries in droves from disease and starvation. The smack in the face of the matter is the incongruity of the expense of America's "life" could solve many problems in the world, but how would we make the shift? How could we...I don't know, you've brought up thoughts I've thought and I wonder, really, if the multitude of capitalism's profit could ever be offered up without great expense to America.

Very interesting piece, I am understanding you much better than I did a few months ago, that makes me feel...thoughtful!
