I Want

A poem Denise Murphy wrote just days after the death of her eldest brother who passed away from cancer at home at the age of 54.

I want to cry

 I want to scream

I want to vent my rage to the heavens

I want God to hear me in his infinite wisdom and give me peace

Peace of mind in my sorrow

Drowning in grief, boiling in rage

Despair my constant companion

Darkness surrounds me, shadows my footsteps

Lift up my spirit and change my path to walk in the light.
