Well, 10 down and one more to go! :)

Joseph is off to Kindergarten, come Monday, and he's all ready to go!
While we were all out shopping and preparing, his sweet inginuity came to play!
I just had to share with you what he had to say, and how he was going to go about, making new friends!
Enjoy!

Kindergarten and Making New Friends

I got to get a haircut, and my sneakers are new
. . . ‘cause I’m off to Kindergarten to be a somebody too!

But, I . . . I wish my baby sister, who is only three,
could somehow turn five, so she can come with me!

Daddy, the bus comes early, I think about a twenty past seven
. . .and mommy says she’ll miss me, saying, "But, Oh thank heaven!?"

I know all my ABC’s, do you wanna hear me?
In school you raise your hand, even when you have to go,  pee!

I can’t wait until show and tell. . .
I’m bringing my red robot and this really cool bell!

Know what? . . .Grandma told me we can paint,  with our fingers there!
I think I'll count to a 100, and play,
"I Double Dare Ya!"

I already know the rules, you can’t be stingy or a boss
. . .and I’m really hoping’, OH I hope, I don’t EVER get lost!

Kindergarten is kinda scary . . .
but Mommy says, I’m brave!
. . ."Please God, Please, don’t make my teacher too hairy!"

Hey, I have a Spidey  backpack, it cost one dollars up to ten!
If some other boys buyed this one, well . . . guess what?

THEY can ALL just be my friends!

This is a beautiful beginning step for a little boy who is embarking on a life journey. Treasure the wonder and even the butterflies he feels at taking this first of many into the great world out there. You have given us a precious insight here through a mother's eyes and heart. Well done Kimmy!

Thank you Kimmy for this very precious write. He is so cute tho, and this is very familiar for all of us who have sent a child to school that very first day. And I agree with Joyce too, that time does go so fast after that first day. There is the PTA, plays, drawings to be put on the refrigerator, and praises for doing good. Thank you Kimmy for these precious memories.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your little sister, Barbie

Totally delightful Kimmy. Please share it at TWF. I'll use the picture too. I didn't know you posted here. I'll track you from now on. I won't forget this poem anytime soon. Memories are flooding my mind of the days when my not so young anymore precious ones started school. I always cried that first day.
Hugs,
Marci

Too cute...and familiar, our granddaughter started preschool this year, it's comical, cute, and a bit sad when they begin this journey...it seems as though time speeds up after their first day of school, where does it go? A beautiful picture...he's a handsome little guy! Enjoyed!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Kimmy,

Awwwwwww, what a cutie-patootie! Well done! Give him a (((HUG))) from Auntie Karla and Karen in Texas, and tell him to have a great day! The anticipation of new adventure clearly penned in engaging, heartwarming lines; BRAVA!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Priceless! Funny, but my memories of those times are mostly bad. Like the time in spring when our mother didn't put on our snow pants on because it was warm. My twin and I came in from recess and at the hall hooks, hung our coats, and promptly pulled down our snow pants in unison. To our embarrassment, the teacher laughed to see us in our undershorts!

Kimmy, you sure have one bright, handsome young man there! So the "spidey" backpack will do the trick? This is just wonderful and hope he has a great beginning upon his entrance to kindergarten.....

Be safe,
Karen
