(A string of Kimmy Ku's)
Lying on the groyne
Belly side, ribs into wood
Eyeing a dead gull . . . Belongs, in a lull
Yet, bearing, sees . . . all in truth
Life . . . death, bobbing me . . . An ocean to lea's
Wood to chest . . . A wooden chest!
Treasures lie in thee! Sea, gems, destiny. . .
How gold hooks on fishing lines
Aye! . . . catch a live one! Oversee the rise!
. . . And what the tide may roll in
Nought, compares to chump! Nay, thou fools at bay!
. . . To cast out without remorse
Fate could wake a fluke! Flying, mew's fortune . . .
Lot to suppose about wood!
Lying on bosom's . . . What pains be abreast
Sea bunce to a dead Larus
Inhere, sprawled on docks
Like so many of yours: so unusual, yet it works. Such a fun journey in strange word combos and images! And the artwork, just grand (yours?) Caught my lucky fish last Monday: 2lb. Pompano on my surf fish trip to Ormond; For once a fine dinner, self-made!
It is always a pleasant learning moment to read a literary composition that poemizes and poetizes... "Lucky Fish" does that with beauty, art and wise thoughts, like a flower diffusing aroma of wisdom.
I salute You, Poet.

I would know this one is YOU without your name on it - you are the only one who writes pure art :-) Very nice breakout with the kus,
There is no one like you Kimmy, and there never will be. The old gang has dispersed. Sad! Congratulations on your uniqueness and all the verdant blossoms that spring forth from your heart!
Ahhh, the pain of sunbathing without a towel. Sunburn later. Thanks for the chuckles The fish thank you, too.

This is purely delightful; I love your creativity and the skill you've demonstrated with this wonderful collection of Ku's! Great title. Your painting is equally charming.
The poor dead gull, watching the tide roll in , lucky you, being by the bay, being near the sea in summertime's lea, so fortunate you are right now, Can I join you, I think I have in this poetry. Please post more about the sea, my favorite. Good Haiku's so many.
All I can think of is about the one that got away. Yes, Lucky Fish. Excellent write and picture. They compliment each other very well. Peace, Love and Blessings Always, Paul.
Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
