Poem Artwork

Even leeks have leaks!
Be lief of leaf with every intention,
Possessing an intension to profit from a Prophet.

Cozen your cousin?
You of the yew, you’re the your who pries
On the prize, vise on vice... saying,
I am Abei, but, abye, I am!

Having scent of the Sent...
Obsessing a peace of the piece...
One will be lax, with what he lacks,
Purling pearls, making prints of his prince!
Don’t peek at your peak!

Wrote all in rote... In idle, wills, idol...
Losing all principle of the Principal
Laid your lade! Lee your lea...
Yes, even leeks have leaks!

Grab the hair of the hare. You’ll need it!
In my home of holm, under the rung of wrung...
Intents with an intense...
Is where I’ll tend to isle... and you?

Rather than be wry on rye, rude to the rood...
Hail, too hale, too hied your hide...
A quean under a queen will surely savor
In her Saver of He, Who sees
Beyond the seas... but why?

Who makes wholly, holy of her whin bouquets
Too win over, all that withers;
and flours the flowers stilled to gather,
while wile blooms in a mowed mode?

Seeming, and seaming, from caws,
Cause the creaks in the creeks to crackle!
O’ in the air, of ere, all must be gilt with such guilt!
And if you’re not, you should be the knot!

Swung over the stream’s current,
To currant, knowing too high to hie!
Dam up your damn... all who hay in the hey of it all!

Indict to indite, weigh your way!
Even leeks have leaks!... that Heir,
You will lose if you tire...
And there’s no air left here in Tyrr!

Only the flats, raw felly grinding into rock lain
On their lane right in a rite to celebrate,
That which this Earth shallots in the minds’ eye!
Aye, mines of a powdered stone,
What a witch adds to her brew to get ahead!

One who sifts gems to sell digs into their Hell!
Even leeks have leaks!
Cracked up, crying, pealing over
Peeling onions as if fauld had felled, lightly!

They dropped tears, in tiers
On the root en route to all evil!
Take your pick... raw, or fried, brown bulbs
Or white; pearled in wight, Spanish red...
Read a chive, local garlic, spring or salad?
How about running green with a scallion?

No matter... everyone’s a culler...
What’s your color?
Know one’s onion... Even leeks have leaks!

Hi and Hie on along. You incite much insight into the wobblier warts on the English language. Wow! I think I'll save this for a rhyming inspiration. Excellent, clever work.
Love and {{{{{hugs}}}}},

Uniquely outstanding in creativity, subjects dealt, and inspiring message... "Even Leeks Have Leaks" is a wit-wise composition; a true poetic flower diffusing the scent of wisdom.

Highly recommendable text for senior students of literature, philosophy and philology.

I salute You, Poet.

In admiration,

Welcome back Kimmy!
Now, some write tongue twisters, some brain twisters, and a few write all of the above with a thouch of humor, you did that girl!
A wonderful way to make a grand entrance!

Karen,

Methinks you've been peaking over Tom Hyland's shoulders, he wrote one similar to this. Or has in the past. LOL You are clever! Well done.

Merry Christmas, and (((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
