Not me, no way, I like to fish but from a nice warm boat or a fishing pier in summer...I don't like fish that much to freeze while fishing for them...LOL! Pictures can make our muse produce great poems, can't they...? Happy Holidays, Ed & rufuz

I had to go put on a sweater! Brrr.... It looks sooooo cold. I like the way I was drawn into the milieu of ice fishing so immediately. Nicely done!
One of my friends was in the Air Force and stationed at a reomote site in Alaska back in the 60's. There wasn't much to do in his off time, so he would ice fish. He would chatch huge fish and since he was an Air Force Cook, he would clean them and cook them for the group. Many times Military Brass would stop in on their way to other bases, usually staying long enough to get a shower, something to eat and some sleep. They would call ahead and request that Alex be there ready to cook for them, and they usually would request his fish and (believe it or not) S.O.S. which he said he could never make enough of. It seemed his mates loved the stuff, too. Go Figure!! I think that ice fishing is nearly a lost passtime. I am glad that your youngest son is carrying on the family tradition. Last line is such a mom line!!LOL.
