Two parakeets..........

                    Herculana and Zues,
                  two parakeets have we.
                    They flutter and fly,
                     and sing with glee.

                   A large double cage,
                   with plenty of room.
                       Sits in a corner,
                     bright, no gloom.

                     Male and female,
                    they do keep busy.
                   They flutter and fly,
                   until they get dizzy.

                      A double cage,
              not enough for these two.
                    So added a third,
                yes, it was brand new.

               The chatter they make,
               the melodies they sing.
               Can become very loud,
         sometimes cannot hear a thing.

                Mint green feathers,
              with yellow and white.
           When they finish preening,
              such a beautiful sight.

               Herculana laid eggs,
             in a cup there are four.
                   Quietly she sits,
             will there be anymore?

             Zues struts all around,
          from morning until night.
              If eggs hatch babies,
           will it give him a fright?

               Guess we will all,
             have to wait and see.
         Will the eggs hatch babies,
            more to sing for me.
