The scent of love is found In a beauteous blood red rose It permeates the air we breathe Like passion spoken in prose Takes emotions to the heights While desires set to foment Arouse titillating temptations Seeking to grasp the moment We are creatures of feelings They are what make us tick Sending our heads reeling Giving our senses a kick The look, touch, and scent A confluence truly divine Making the heart content With nature we entwine
I once had a red rose that bloomed all summer, was fragrant, had velvet petals and lasted longer than my marriage. I had feelings for that rose when the freeze got it. You are right. My yellow rose was none of those.
Was there not of feelings a song,
You herein and beyond could never do wrong,
