I sat on the ground among the flowers Calla Lilies turning my thoughts to Him The one we celebrate as risen today I could actually picture it happening And even see myself rising along With other believers, all filled with joy
My thoughts however were juxtaposed With what to tell my family about why I wasn't able to be with them today Trying to simplify my life is not simple How to convince, you just want to be alone The same old,is not my cup of tea anymore
I admit I've had problems with adjusting But never to the point of refusing to accept Imagine the changes a man called Jesus had One day honored by thousands as a savior Loved as a healer, then betrayed and crucified And 3 days later resurrected, talk about change That has got to be the premier of all changes
Amen eT. I saw the same thing as I drove and thought for three hours this afternoon...coming back from Savannah. The one focus that kept coming back is how Jesus hurts each time we sin...over and over again. WE all need to listen to the small things and to our hearts more often.

Food for thought. Can you imagine someone telling christians to become jews. The paradigm shift that was required must have amazed and scared many. Prolly still does.

I to am using this day for a day of reflection and healing. I've chose to remain home instead of joining the family in the usual gatherings and egg hunts.
Jesus was sacrificed, and I for one can't imagine how alone I would have felt hanging above the rest of the world, in his same predicament, and hopefully never will find myself there, but as you have said, the changes that he would had to have endured not only physically but mentally as well, would be astounding and overbearing.
Not only am I grateful for his blood but also grateful for his ressurrection.

When we get stuck in rote ritual, it ceases to have any meaning anymore. That's one reason I don't go to church much. Plus, people look down and judge me for not attending. Plus, having to work in a restaurant that won't close doesn't help....mandatory day for all employees tomorrow. While rolling silverware, I will reflect on His sacrifice for me and celebrate that He defeated death and is alive!
