I love new moves but I hate the work
too tired to do anymore today
too tired to eat,too tired to sleep
so here I am;-) if I fall asleep reading
don't be angry with me..hahaha lol

____________________________

When you held me last I knew
winter would be here soon
but I wasn't sure about you

Each leaf I see falling,creates
another notch,in which my heart
drops

Missing you has become all
that I do, and wanting you
is growing, not diminishing

Soon the last leaf will fall from
our favorite Flaming Maple,and
it will be bare as I am without you

Do  you feel as I do, or are you not
watching the leaves as we used to
perhaps that too is in the past

Some say you can't rekindle the past
I won't even try, if  what I offer no longer seems to  satisfy

I'll cherish what we had my dear, and when the leaves are gone I'll wish you were here, and shed a farewell tear, for you both

very moving and dear sentiment ... the passing of autumn is difficult to rekindle except in our hearts and minds ... all one can do is look forward to the potential of the spring ...

It hurts, missing SOMEONE that much.I like to look at those leaves, fallen there,as the mulch for those new buds underneath, waiting to give us new hope and joy, rebirth, future blossoms.
But,we do still remember those departed leaves that were once so beautiful and we do ache for them, still.
Yes Eileen, you touched on something I think most of us can relate to,and,as always, you did it beautifully. The music you added was perfect.
Love to you dear lady,
Hugs too,
from
your pal in Australia,
Kay.

Memories can can both stir and soothe the soul,...this eloquent work makes me feel as though I were looking at a photo that captured so much more than a moment in time. Beyond every autumn/winter there is always a spring/summer. Stunning Lady Minx. Much love, Imp:)

I read this as dawn was rising in sheets of gold and crimson over the heath yesterday, Eileen, and the words and music together were totally AWESOME! It went on to spark a myriad of waking thoughts and experiences, all based on ideas that to be alive is to be found in love. BEAUTIFUL. I can't move for oak leaves blowing everywhere inside and outside my new home here, so very, VERY powerful. Bless you in your change of domicile and remember that PACE is everything - but sadly what us hyperactive folks really find so hard. I hope your work on this page at least gives you stillpoint and a lovely sense of peace and space to B-R-E-A-T-H-E. Be well and strong. LOL K xx

Eileen,

Beautifully penned, my friend. Just don't stay away long, or hurt yourself in the process. BRAVA!

Beautiful and thoughtful metaphors in this poem, Eileen. As with the leaves, don't the romantics awaken to Spring and the renewed love?

Just think how you will enjoy this weekend when the move is complete (rest before you start unpacking! :o)
