Ed's photo on his Northwoods poem reminded me of the thousand islands in Canada.The chain of islands that straddle the U.S.-Canada border in the Saint Lawrence River as it emerges from the northeast corner of Lake Ontario. Of course there are that many because they consider it an island if it supports one tree and has rocks.;)
Ed, having lived near,and frequently visited the Northwoods I fully understand your love for the area, I love it too!

Once i went up the river Rhine in Germany and went past some castles that were out of this world. Just to let know about them.
